About Us

Arizona Edge was founded in 2009 by myself with the help of the wonderful, Missy Perrien. Dance is all I know, it is not only my passion, it truly is my whole life. I wanted to open a studio that was based on the idea that dance can make a positive difference in any child's life. Whether that child dances one hour or twenty in a week; I believe that, if given the right teacher and the right environment, they will gain appreciation for this beautiful art, while getting the chance to enjoy expression through performance. Dance, at its simplest, is a great way to exercise and promote a healthy lifestyle. From a more serious perspective, dance offers a potential career path. Either way dance is, most importantly... FUN! As a person with first-hand knowledge on how dance can change ones' life, I encourage you to experience the creative and exciting world of dance!

What will make our studio stand apart from others is my belief that every student matters. My goal is to build a dance family, where everyone feels at home. To achieve the atmosphere of family, it will be my pleasure to get to know every parent and student. Whether I teach your child or not, I promise that I will know you and your child by name and will be a part of your child's progress throughout their time with Edge. Furthermore, I want Arizona Edge to be known for having a strong recreational dance program, as well as a highly successful dance company. All students will receive the same quality, professional education. Our teachers' goal is to develop strong-minded individuals that enjoy artistic expression, at any age, at any level. EDGE instructors are highly qualified in their respective fields but, at the same time, are caring, warm-hearted people that encourage every dancer to accomplish personal goals and to always have a "can do" attitude. Our classes are designed to fit the needs of each student individually, so that no student will feel that they are being held back or pushed too quickly. Through creative choreography, the Edge staff will nurture each dancer's unique personality and talents, while teaching them to work together and support each other, just as a family would do!

Our ultimate success will be a result of staying true to the beliefs the studio was built on, our infinite passion for the art of dance and our unparalleled dedication to providing premium education!

Arizona Edge is currently operating out of Dance Unlimited in Mesa. Due to economic hardships in our country that affected all small businesses, we feel very lucky to have found this space to rent. With the help of our community, we plan to move into our own studio space by summer 2012, if not sooner.

We appreciate the support of the current families enrolled with Edge and look forward to many more families joining in the future.
